The Department of Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics boasts ultramodern facilities, featuring electronic dental chairs, Dental Operating Microscopes, Loupes, and RVG machines in both undergraduate and postgraduate clinics, accommodating more than 250 patients daily. Our spectrum of treatments spans from essential root canal procedures and endodontic surgeries to highly sought-after Aesthetic Corrections and the less-known endodontic implants. Over the past 25 years, the department has successfully performed over 3,00,000 root canal treatments and approximately 15,000 surgical procedures.

Q. What is Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics?

A. The branch of Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics encompasses the diagnosis and treatment of sequelae of dental caries, dental trauma and includes techniques and procedures to restore the teeth to full function and esthetics with conservation of as much healthy tooth structure as possible. It also includes cosmetic and esthetic correction of teeth. Endodontics deals with root canal treatment, endodontic surgery and related treatments to rid the tooth of its offending malady. In the present era, with emphasis on preservation with precision, these two specialties play a vital role in saving the natural tooth.
