Saraswati Dental College and Hospital, Lucknow with National Service Scheme, My Bharat and Mission Shakti 5.0 promoted POSHAN PAKHWADA CAMPAIGN 2026 with the aim to combat malnutrition, anemia, and improve nutritional outcomes in APNI PATHSHALA SCHOOL, particularly for underserved children by donating healthy eatables on 21-4-26. It focussed on raising awareness of healthy eating, utilizing the "Poshan Tracker" for monitoring, and driving community-led, outcome-based activities which encouraged better dietary practices. It also highlighted how making informed food choices can fuel the body, support long-term health, boost energy, and help communities thrive.

We intend to reach out masses and spread awareness about tobacco use through various activities in village madiyaon on 12-3-26.Activities included were:- Rally by volunteers of NSS and My Bharat- Awareness session on harmful effects of tobacco and alcohol- Screening of Oral Cancers.Continuing engagement and involvement of youth in the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan will protect lives and build a healthier society.
Under the Mission of Swachhata hi Sewa, Saraswati Dental College and Hospital, Lucknow with National Service Scheme, My Bharat and Mission Shakti 5.0 continued Day 3 Activity of Awareness Drive in village Madiyaon on 19/02/26. This awareness drive focuses on reducing environmental damage by educating individuals to adopt 5 R's: Refuse, Reduce, Reuse, Repurpose and Recycle. The Solid Waste Management Rules effective from 1st April 2026 will include 4-stream segregation at source (Wet, Dry, Sanitary, Special Care. The purpose is to shift citizens of India towards a circular economy by tightening enforcement and emphasizing accountability.
Under Mission Smile Shakti, Saraswati Dental College and Hospital, Lucknow with volunteers of National Service Scheme, My Bharat and Mission Shakti 5.0 organized Free School Dental Health Program for underprivileged kids of Golden Future Trust School in Kakori-Salempur on 21-1-26. Total number of kids and their parents involved for check-up were 68.Activities involved were:-Oral hygiene instructions.-Dental health check-up.-Distribution of Health Educational Pamphlet, Toothpaste, Tongue Cleaner.-Awareness on harmful effects of tobacco.-Awareness on Balanced Diet.

The Tobacco Control and Cessation Add-on Program, organized by the Tobacco Cessation Centre, Department of Oral Medicine & Radiology at Saraswati Dental College, was conducted from 18th March to 8th April 2026. The program included lectures covering key areas such as tobacco epidemiology, national control policies, various forms of tobacco and areca nut, associated adverse effects with emphasis on Oral Potentially Malignant Disorders, and the role of multidisciplinary approaches in tobacco control.The program aimed to equip final-year undergraduate and first-year postgraduate students with essential knowledge and skills to support tobacco cessation in clinical practice.
