The theme of the CME, “Beyond Straight Teeth,” beautifully captured the essence of modern orthodontics. Orthodontic treatment is not merely about aligning teeth; it is about understanding the individual as a whole and striving towards better function, facial harmony, oral health and, ultimately, a confident smile.
The programme provided a wonderful platform for academic exchange and meaningful interaction among eminent faculty members, residents and students. The inauguration, felicitation ceremony and Poster Smile Competition added a special spirit to the celebrations.
I was honoured to deliver a guest lecture as part of the academic session, alongside Prof. Dr. Bhuvan Chandra Tiwari and Prof. Dr. A.Q. Jilani. It was truly encouraging to see the enthusiasm and curiosity of the young minds who participated in the programme.
Such academic gatherings remind us that orthodontics is a constantly evolving speciality, where learning never stops. They also give us an opportunity to share experiences, inspire young clinicians and appreciate the larger purpose behind what we do every day.
Beyond straight teeth, orthodontics is about creating healthier function, balanced smiles and lasting confidence.
A memorable celebration of National Orthodontist Day, and a beautiful reminder of why we chose this speciality.
