Introduction and Education

Saraswati Dental College & Hospital alumna Dr. Medha Upadhyay completed her Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) in 2021. Demonstrating a keen interest in restorative and rehabilitative aspects of dentistry, she subsequently pursued her Master of Dental Surgery (MDS) in Prosthodontics from Kothiwal Dental College and Research Centre, which she completed in 2025. Her postgraduate training provided advanced exposure to fixed and removable prosthodontics, implant-supported rehabilitation, maxillofacial prosthetics, esthetic dentistry, and comprehensive oral rehabilitation, thereby refining her clinical expertise and academic acumen in the specialty of Prosthodontics and Crown & Bridge.

Her postgraduate education emphasized the integration of contemporary prosthodontic concepts with precision-driven clinical protocols, enabling her to develop proficiency in diagnosis, treatment planning, and execution of complex restorative procedures. Her training further strengthened her understanding of interdisciplinary dental management, biomaterials, occlusion, and digital advancements in prosthodontic rehabilitation.

At present, Dr. Medha Upadhyay is serving as a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Prosthodontics and Crown & Bridge at Saraswati Dental College & Hospital. In this academic position, she actively contributes to undergraduate and postgraduate dental education through didactic teaching, preclinical demonstrations, clinical supervision, and academic mentoring. Her responsibilities involve guiding students in the development of clinical competencies, critical thinking, ethical dental practice, and evidence-based treatment approaches. She is also involved in organizing academic discussions, case presentations, seminars, and departmental scholarly activities that promote continuous learning and professional development among students and trainees.

With a balanced inclination toward academics, clinical excellence, and professional ethics, she continues to establish herself as a dedicated and promising academician and clinician in the field of Prosthodontics.
