Oral Hygiene Day Celebrations and Distribution of Oral Hygiene Kits
As part of the observance of “Oral Hygiene Day” on 1st August 2025, the Department of Periodontology at Saraswati Dental College & Hospital, Lucknow, successfully organized the first initiative under the Capability Enhancement and Development Scheme of SDC&H. The program aimed to create awareness regarding the importance of maintaining good oral hygiene among patients and non-teaching staff. The event commenced at 9:30 AM with a brief talk by faculty members from the Department of Periodontology, highlighting the significance of oral hygiene in preventing dental as well as systemic diseases. The staff and visiting patients were informed about daily oral hygiene practices, the correct brushing technique, and the role of professional dental care in maintaining oral health.
Following the awareness session, Oral Hygiene Kits containing toothbrushes, toothpaste, and informational leaflets were distributed to all attendees. The activity witnessed active participation, and the attendees expressed gratitude for the initiative, stating that it made them more aware and motivated to take better care of their oral health.
