An Industria Academia Program-Self-Ligating Brackets

The Industria Academia programme was organised by Dept  of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopaedics SDC&H in collaboration with 3M Orthodontics India Division on 11th February 2026

SmartClip self-ligating brackets (by 3M) are considered top-tier because they eliminate elastic ligatures, using a unique, self-activated metal clip system that reduces friction, speeds up treatment time, and improves hygiene. They offer superior comfort, less pain due to light forces, and require fewer, shorter, and more efficient orthodontic appointments compared to traditional braces.

Speaker Dr Priyanka Jain delivered an interesting session on why 3 M brackets should be the choice of doctor as well patient's. 

This was attended by all postgraduates and faculty members of the department.
