India is celebrating its 75th Republic Day on 26th January, 2024. The constitution of India was adopted on 26th November 1949 and came into effect on 26th January 1950. It replaced the Government of India Act of 1935, thereby declaring the country as a Sovereign, Democratic, Republic.
