We all keep using a variety of dental materials, from plaster to ceramics and dental implants. Most of these materials require manipulations at one or the other stage of their use. Variations in manipulation are required sometimes to make the material usable comfortably. These alterations may affect physical properties of these materials. Knowledge of these physical properties and the effect of manipulation variations should be properly understood, for these materials are required to be tested under various conditions and situations. In postgraduate academic curriculum, there are library as well as thesis dissertations, and students at times have to take these materials for testing and research purpose. These researches require the instrumentational support from within the institute or from other places. This material research work helps in developing better and different materials.
