Certificate in Integrative Palliative Care" is the third course in the series of 3 months courses launched by International Institute of Distance Learning, the academic division of National Association of Palliative Care for AYUSH and Integrative Medicine (NAPCAIM). NAPCAIM is the first Medical Association in India that aims at Integration of all modalities of medicines including AYUSH and Complementary Medicines. The first course was "Foundation Certificate in Palliative Care" and second course was "Basic Certificate in Palliative Care".This Third course aims to provide knowledge about holistic Palliative Care to the patients as well persons interested in knowing and applying Complementary Therapies for themselves in their normal life conditions. These Complementary and Alternative Medicines (CAM) are also useful in early as well as advance disease, for improving their quality of life by integrating Modern Medicine with CAM.This course will provide anyone an opportunity to know the basics about various Complementary Therapies like Naturopathy, Yoga, Pranic Healing, Music Therapy, Aroma Therapy, Acupressure and Acupuncture, Reiki, Spirituality, and some knowledge about basic First Aid procedures. This course is suited for Doctors of Modern Medicine and AYUSH, Nurses, Para Medical Staff, Volunteers and other Palliative Care Professionals who are interested in knowing more about Complementary and Alternative Medicines to enrich and expand their professional expertise to serve the needy patients.
