Postgraduate students from the Department of Orthodontics visited the Department of Prosthodontics on 04/03/2025 for a demonstration of intraoral scanning. The program was coordinated between Dr. Kamlesh Singh (Professor & Clinic In-Charge, Department of Orthodontics) and Dr. Devendra Chopra (Professor & Head, Department of Prosthodontics).
The session covered scanning protocols, handling techniques, error prevention, and digital integration for treatment planning. It highlighted the accuracy, speed, and patient comfort of intraoral scanning compared to traditional impressions. Residents actively participated in hands-on practice, gaining valuable insights into digital workflows in orthodontics. The demonstration emphasized how 3D scanning enhances precision and efficiency in treatment.
This session marked a significant step forward in integrating advanced digital dentistry into orthodontic practice.
