Orientation Programme on National Service Scheme (NSS)

The Department of Public Health Dentistry successfully conducted an insightful orientation programme on the National Service Scheme (NSS), with the core objective of nurturing the personality and character of student youth through voluntary community service. Emphasizing the principle of “education through service,” the event highlighted the value of civic engagement and social responsibility.
The programme was honored by the presence of distinguished guests:
Mr. Samardeep Saxena, Regional Director, Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, NSS,
and Mr. Rajesh Tiwari, Youth Officer, Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, NSS.
The event was also graced by President Dr. Rajat Mathur, Principal Dr. Kunal Sah, Vice Principal Dr. Kamlesh Singh, Dean PG Studies Dr. Sunira Chandra, NAAC Advisor Cdr. Sumit Ghosh, and respected Heads of Departments and faculty members.
The event began with a warm welcome and a brief introduction of the esteemed guests and their commendable achievements.
Dr. Pallavi Singh, Professor and Head of the Department of Public Health Dentistry, addressed the gathering with pride, highlighting the department’s impactful community outreach initiatives.
Two compelling Nukkad Naataks were performed on the themes of “Save the Girl Child” and “Say No to Drugs,” both beautifully presented and well-received.
Principal Dr. Kunal Sah and President Dr. Rajat Mathur inspired the audience with their encouraging words, followed by insightful addresses by the chief guests, Mr. Saxena and Mr. Tiwari, who elaborated on the NSS’s mission and the numerous opportunities it offers to youth.
As a gesture of appreciation, mementos were presented to the guests. The programme concluded with a group photograph, a heartfelt vote of thanks by Dr. Akanksha Dubey, and the rendition of the National Anthem.
