"WE NEED FOOD, NOT TOBACCO"

The mission is to promote food and not tobacco. With this aim, Saraswati Dental Collage & Hospital, Lucknow, in collaboration with Department of Public Health Dentistry and Unnat Bharat Abhiyan organised an awareness program in Village Hasemau on Wednesday, 31st May, 2023 on the occasion of World No Tobacco Day - 2023. The program was followed by rally, nukkad natak performed by the students, and an oral health checkup with oral cancer detection camp.The nukkad natak & rally were to create awareness amongst  general population regarding the ill effects of tobacco and to teach alternative crop strategies to tobacco farmers. Screening of 69 individuals was done with the detection of 4 precancerous lesions and conditions. With positive attitude of  general population of Village Hasemau, we are keen to organise more such awareness camps in  remote parts of the state.
