
epartment of Oral Pathology and Microbiology, Saraswati Dental college and hospital conducted various events to commemorate the National Oral Pathologists Day. The National Oral Pathologist day is celebrated every year on 25th Feb in the memory of eminent Oral Pathologist Dr HM Dholakia. Dr. Dholakia holds the distinct honour of being the first postgraduate teacher of Oral Pathology in India.
To inculcate the interest in the subject of oral pathology and improve the knowledge and importance of oral pathology the commemoration kickstarted with interesting events like events histo-rangoli, sculptomania (soap carving), Chrome-Art (line diagram with H&E pencil). All interested undergraduate students, interns, and postgraduate students of the colleges actively participated in good numbers making the event a cumulative success. The valedictory concluded with the distribution of the prizes to the winners in each category. DA&DH and Oral Pathology subject toppers of 2024 were also awarded by medals and certificates. The events were further followed by felicitation of Teaching and non-Teaching Staff. The whole event was successfully conducted in presence of Mrs Madhu Mathur who is chairperson of Saraswati group of institutes, Dr Rajat Mathur president Saraswati group of institutes, Dr Smitha Mathur Director Saraswati group of institutes along with Dr Kunal Sah Principal SDC, all Deans, Heads of various departments, all faculty members of Department of Oral Pathology and Microbiology.
