The college has a state-of-art Amphitheatre which was inaugurated on 13th OCT 2006 by our Hn. Chairman, Lt. Col. (Dr.) T. S. Mathur.
All extracurricular and cultural activities now take place in this open-air amphitheatre situated at the far end of the Oval-Ground which has a seating capacity of 800. Movie shows are organized on a regular basis in the evenings for our staff and students. The College Week is organised in the month of November where we will see a lot of activity in our state-of-art Amphitheatre.
Dr. Dibyendu Mazumder, President, Dental Council of India, visited Saraswati Dental College on 25th April 2013. He inaugurated the state of art, 480 seater Col. Tejendra Shankar Mathur Auditorium and participated in the inaugural continuing dental education programme.
Dr. Mazumder addressed a large gathering of the dental fraternity from Lucknow. He laid emphasis on the constant improvement in dental education standards in the country and appreciated the facilities provided by Saraswati Dental College. He appreciated the achievements of Saraswati Dental College in the Annual Report presented by the Principal, Dr. R. S. Bedi. He also enlightened the gathering on the use of “fibre posts” in the restorative dental treatment of mutilated teeth.
Dr. R. K. Bali, Ex-President DCI was the Guest of Honour. He advised the young generation to be sensitive to the patient’s needs.
Dr. R. M. Mathur, Dr. Asha Mathur and Dr. Arvind Tripathi were the other eminent faculties who delivered guest lectures in various aspects of dentistry and current technology in the field.
Dr. (Col) T. S. Mathur, Chairman Saraswati Group of Educational Institutes emphasised the need for creating a national programme on dentistry to enhance the standard of Dental Education and Dental Treatment in the Country.
Dr. Rajat Mathur, President and Mr. Charit Mathur, Director of Finance, Saraswati Group of Educational Institutes advised the young generation to be positive in their attitude and to aim for excellence in their profession and gave them blessings.
